Nice to meet you, my name is Kotoha. I love Japanese anime and voice actors.

I thought it would be nice to share my recommendations with you all, so I wrote this article.

I am not good at writing English, so you may feel that there are many mistakes.

はじめまして、ことはと申もうします。私わたしは、日本にほんのアニメや声優せいゆうさんが大好だいすきです。

皆みなさんにも私わたしのオススメを紹介しょうかいできたら良いいなと思い、今回記事こんかいきじを書かかせていただきました。

私わたしは英語えいごを書かくのが得意とくいではないので、間違まちがいが多おおいと感かんじるかもしれません。

ですが、一生懸命気持いっしょうけんめいきもちを込こめて書かいたので、楽たのしんで読よんでいただけたら嬉うれしいです。

 

 

Over 150 Anime is broadcasted in japan every year!

It proves that  Anime is one of the most notable cultures in Japan. 

日本にほんでは年間ねんかん150本以上ぽんいじょうのアニメが放送ほうそうされています！

これは、アニメが日本にほんで最もっとも注目ちゅうもくされる文化ぶんかの一ひとつであることを証明しょうめいしています。

 

Not only foreigners but Japanese people watch anime on a  daily basis, and “Otaku” is no longer “embarrassed geeks”. 

You may have watched Japanese animations in your country. 

外国人がいこくじんだけでなく日本人にほんじんも日常的にちじょうてきにアニメを見みていますし、「オタク」はもはや「恥はずかしい変かわり者もの」ではないです。

皆みなさんもご自分じぶんの国くにで日本にほんのアニメを見みたことがありますよね。

 

However, have you ever seen  Japanese Otaku Anime without subtitles?

If you could watch them without subtitles, you will understand Japanese deeper,  and also you can use the words which used in anime for real talking with Japanese people.

しかしながら、日本にほんのオタクアニメを字幕じまくなしで見みたことがありますか？

I will also show you some memorable lines that show the unique characteristics of the anime.

Some of these can be used in everyday life, so try to incorporate them!

At first, I recommend “K-ON!” for you.

まずはじめに、「けいおん！」をオススメします。

 

 

Story Line（あらすじ）

Kyoto Animation studio produced it in 2009. This is based on a four-panel comic written by Kakifly.

High school girl  “Yui” and her schoolmates started a band named “Houkago(after school) Tea Time”.

Their heartwarming school life is highlighted in this anime.

2009年ねんに京都きょうとアニメーションスタジオが制作せいさくしました。カキフライによる4よんコマ漫画まんがが原作げんさくになっています。

女子高生じょしこうせいの「唯ゆい」は、同級生どうきゅうせいと一緒いっしょに「放課後ほうかごティータイム」というバンドを結成けっせいします。

このアニメでは、そんな彼女かのじょたちのほのぼのとした学園生活がくえんせいかつが描えがかれています。

 

 

Houkago Tea Time (HTT) produced tons of songs that became popular and resulted in a social phenomenon.

A large number of people covered HTT songs at that time.

 

放課後ほうかごティータイム(HTT)は、たくさんの曲きょくを出だして人気にんきを博はくし、社会現象しゃかいげんしょうとなりました。

当時とうじは、多おおくの人ひとがHTTの曲きょくをカバーしていました。

Pronunciation（発音はつおん）: Kore mo ageyou. Hana-bira go mai, watashitachi mitai dane!

Meaning（意味いみ）: I’ll give you this too. 5 petals, which are like us.

 

All HTT members without Azusa graduated from high school. 

Yui said this line to Azusa who is her junior and tried not to make her sad at the graduation ceremony. 

梓あずさを除のぞいたHTTメンバー全員ぜんいんが高校こうこうを卒業そつぎょうしてしまいました。

唯ゆいは後輩こうはいである梓あずさにこのセリフを言いって、卒業式そつぎょうしきで悲かなしませないようにしました。

 

Yui thought that 5 petals of cherry blossom stand for bonds of friendship.

When I watched this scene, I was so moved and cried because I was a big fan of Azusa!!

5枚ごまいの桜さくらの花はなびらは友情ゆうじょうの絆きずなを表あらわすものだと、唯ゆいは考かんがえたのです。

私わたしはこのシーンを見みたとき、梓あずさが大好だいすきだったので感動かんどうして泣ないてしまいました！

Pronunciation（発音はつおん）: Dakishimete mo, Yoka desuka?

Meaning（意味いみ）: Can I hug you?

 

It was said by Mugi. Ritsu invited Mugi to “Dagashi-ya(candy-store)” one day.

Mugi had never been there, therefore she was impressed so much and was been dying to hold Ritsu. 

このセリフはムギが言いったものです。ある日ひ、律りつはムギを「駄菓子屋だがしや」に誘さそいました。

ムギは駄菓子屋だがしやへ行いったことがなかったので、とても感動かんどうしていて律りつを抱だきしめたくてたまらなくなってしまいました。

 

“Yoka desuka” is usually used “Ii desuka” in Japanese. “Yoka” is a dialect of Hukuoka prefecture.

Mugi is not from Hukuoka, but she used it in a playfully.

 

Mugi-chan is sooo cute!!

「よかですか」は通常つうじょう 「いいですか 」と使つかいます。「よか 」は福岡県ふくおかけんの方言ほうげんです。

ムギは福岡出身ふくおかしゅっしんではありませんが、茶目ちゃめっ気けからこの言葉ことばを使つかいました。

 

ムギちゃんとっても可愛かわいいです！！

 

 

❷ Kemono-Friends（けものフレンズ）

Next, I chose “Kemono-Friends”.

次つぎに選えらんだのは「けものフレンズ」です。

 

Story Line（あらすじ）

It is a media-mixing content and was broadcasted in 2017.

Personified animal adventure in a safari park called “Japali-Park”.

It has a heartwarming atmosphere, but it also seems that has a dark historical background, and many people had considered the details.

この作品さくひんはメディアミックスコンテンツで、2017年ねんに放送ほうそうされました。

サファリパークである「ジャパリパーク」を舞台ぶたいに、擬人化ぎじんかされた動物どうぶつたちの冒険ぼうけんを描えがいています。

ほのぼのとした雰囲気ふんいきがありながらも、ダークな歴史背景れきしはいけいもあるようで、細こまかいところまで考察こうさつしている人ひとも多おおくいました。

 

It is a fascinating way to learn more about animal life!

They are so pretty and speak Japanese slowly.

動物どうぶつの生態せいたいを詳くわしく知しることができて魅力的みりょくてきですね！

動物どうぶつたちはとても可愛かわいくて、日本語にほんごもゆっくり話はなしてくれます。

 

On the other hand, the main character, “Kaban(bag)-chan”, only is not an animal like the others, but a human being.

Also, the fact that she has amnesia adds to the depth of this anime.

一方いっぽうで、主人公しゅじんこうの「カバンちゃん」は一人ひとりだけ動物どうぶつではなく人間にんげんのような姿すがたをしています。

また、彼女かのじょが記憶喪失きおくそうしつであることもこのアニメに深ふかみを与あたえています。

Serval Cat, Serval-chan said it at every turn, therefore it has been deeply ingrained in the minds of viewers as “Friends-Go”, which means the original language of Kemono-Friends. 

サーバルキャットのサーバルちゃんが、ことあるごとにこのセリフを言いっていたので、けものフレンズから生うまれた言語げんごである「フレンズ語ご」として視聴者しちょうしゃの心こころに深ふかく刻きざまれました。

 

 

②美味しいものを食べてこその人生なのです。

Pronunciation（発音はつおん）: Oishii mono wo tabete koso no jinsei nano desu.

Meaning（意味いみ）: Life is all about good food.

 

Here is a line a character named “Dr.”, said to Kaban-chan, when she ate the food for the first time.

これは、カバンちゃんが初はじめて料理りょうりを食たべた時ときに「博士はかせ」というキャラクターが言いったセリフです。

 

If we do not eat, we cannot survive. And we would rather be eating good food anyway.

It means that If our life is good enough to eat bad food, we can get away with it. 

 

It is an obvious one, but it is a profound word, don’t you think?

私わたしたちは食事しょくじをしなければ生いきていけません。そしてどうせなら美味おいしいものを食たべていたいですよね。

つまり、不味まずいものを食たべるくらいなら、そのことから逃にげてしまっても良いいということです。

 

当あたり前まえのことですが、奥深おくぶかい言葉ことばだと思おもいませんか？

続つづいてご紹介しょうかいするのは「日常にちじょう」です。

 

Story Line（あらすじ）

Kyoto Animation studio animated it in 2011 and it is based on Japanese gag manga by Keiichi Arai.

The story is set in a high school and depicts the daily lives of the characters.

There are many different types of characters. 

They say and do things that do not make sense, and the storyline is unpredictable and very surreal.

2011年ねんに京都きょうとアニメーションスタジオがアニメ化かし、こちらはあらゐいけいいちによる日本にほんのギャグ漫画まんがを原作げんさくとしています。

とある高校こうこうを舞台ぶたいに、登場人物とうじょうじんぶつたちの日常にちじょうが描えがかれています。

様々さまざまなタイプのキャラクターたちがいます。

彼かれらの言動げんどうは意味不明いみふめいなものばかりで、ストーリー展開てんかいも予測不能よそくふのうですしとってもシュールです。

 

When I watched this anime for the first time, I was like, “What’s going on??”, and I was flabbergasted.

But after watching it a few times, I was so fascinated by the wonder of it that I could not stop laughing!

初はじめてこのアニメを見みた時ときは「なんだこれ！？」とびっくりしてしまいました。

しかし、何度なんどか見みているうちにその不思議ふしぎさに取とり憑つかれてしまって、笑わらいが止とまらなくなるように…!

 

I think this is a piece of work that you can feel the same way about, regardless of race.

これは、人種じんしゅに関係かんけいなく同おなじ気持きもちになれる作品さくひんだと思おもいます。

①許ゆるしてヒヤシンス

Pronunciation（発音はつおん）: Yurushite hiyashinsu.

Meaning（意味いみ）: Forgive me. (Saying with a lot of mischiefs.)

 

“Yurushite” means forgive me, so actually it just makes sense.

 “Hiyashinsu” is Hyacinths, which are a type of flower. Also, its flower language is sorrow.

 

From the above, you can see that the line is a very sophisticated gag!!

 

“ゆるして “とは「許ゆるして」という意味いみなので、実じつはこの単語たんごだけで意味いみが成なり立たちます。

“ヒヤシンス “は、花はなの一種いっしゅであるヒヤシンスのことです。また、その花言葉はなことばは「悲かなしみ」です。

 

以上いじょうのことから、このセリフはとても高度こうどなギャグであることがわかりますね！

 

 

②　え、焼やきサバでしょ？　焼やきそばだよ！！！

Meaning（意味いみ）: Oh, it’s Yakisaba(grilled mackerel), right?  It’s YAKISOBA(fried noodles)!!!!

 

A high school girl  “Mio” asked her friend “Yukko” to buy Yakisoba for her lunch, but Yukko mistakenly bought Yakisaba.

This line came out when Yukko did not realize she had misheard it and Mio got angry!

女子高生じょしこうせい「みお」は友人ゆうじんの「ゆっこ」に昼食ちゅうしょくの焼やきそばを買かってきてもらうようお願ねがいしましたが、ゆっこは間違まちがえて焼やきサバを買かってきてしまいました。

このセリフは、ゆっこが聞きき間違まちがえたことにすら気きづいていない、ということに対たいして、みおが怒おこった時ときに出でたものです。

 

Then the two of them got into a huge fight.

That scene was really funny!!

この後あと、２人ふたりは大喧嘩おおげんかになります。

あのシーンは本当ほんとうに面白おもしろかった！！

 

 

 

 ❹ Axis Powers Hetalia（枢軸国すうじくこくヘタリア）

お次つぎは「ヘタリア」です。

 

 

Story Line（あらすじ）

Studio DEEN produced it in 2010. It is based on a cartoon that anthropomorphizes the country written by Hidekazu Himaruya.

With Italy and Germany as the main characters, the anime is a comedy that adds black humor to historical facts.

2010年ねんにスタジオDEENが制作せいさくしました。日丸屋秀和ひまるやひでかずの国くにを擬人化ぎじんかした漫画まんがが原作げんさくとなっています。

イタリアとドイツを主人公しゅじんこうにしており、史実しじつにブラックユーモアを加くええたコメディアニメです。

 

Each country’s national character is represented in an interesting way.

Combined with the cuteness of the character’s visuals, it made Japanese students want to study world history, especially among female students!

それぞれの国くにの国民性こくみんせいが面白おもしろく表現ひょうげんされています。

キャラクターのビジュアルの可愛かわいさも相あいまって、日本にほんの学生がくせいが（とりわけ女子学生じょしがくせいの間あいだで）世界史せかいしを勉強べんきょうしたい気持きもちになったと話題わだいでした。

The Japanese people are not very assertive and tend to go along with others.

日本にほんが言いったセリフです。

日本人にほんじんは自己主張じこしゅちょうが苦手にがてで、人ひとに合あわせる傾向けいこうがありますよね。

Pronunciation（発音はつおん）: Zensho shimasu. Mata kondo. 

Meaning（意味いみ）: I’ll do my best. I’ll do it next time. 

 

This is also Japan’s line.

All of these words express the inability of the Japanese to say no clearly to others.

 

Actually I often misrepresent that I say “next time” to avoid a hassle.

 

これも日本にほんのセリフです。

どの言葉ことばも、日本人にほんじんが他人たにんにはっきりとNOと言いえないことを表現ひょうげんしています。

Story Line（あらすじ）

SHIN-EI ANIMATION animated it in 2018. It is a Japanese boys’ manga by Souichiro Yamamoto.

Nishikata who is a middle schoolboy is always teased by a girl named Takagi-san.

A romantic comedy about the interaction between these two.

2018年ねんにSHIN-EI ANIMATIONがアニメ化かしました。山本総一郎やまもとそういちろうによる日本にほんの少年漫画しょうねんまんがです。

中学生ちゅうがくせいの西片にしかたは、高木たかぎさんという女おんなの子こにいつもからかわれています。

この二人ふたりの交流こうりゅうを描えがいたラブコメディです。

 

Men all over Japan were talking about how they wanted to be teased by her.

That is how attractive she is and she makes one’s heartbeat fast! 

 

Nishikata is so cute too, I can not help but grin.

 

日本中にほんじゅうの男性だんせいが「彼女かのじょにからかわれたい」と盛もり上あがっていました。

それだけ彼女かのじょは魅力的みりょくてきで、ドキドキしてしまうということですね。

 

西片にしかたもとにかく可愛かわいくてニヤニヤしてしまいます。

Takagi-san does not invite Nishikata honestly and annoys him.

As she predicted, he turned red in the face and was embarrassed.

高木たかぎさんは素直すなおに西片にしかたを誘さそわず、西片にしかたを困こまらせます。

彼女かのじょの予想通よそうどおり、西片にしかたは顔かおを真まっ赤かにして恥はずかしそうにしていました。

This line is also Takagi-san’s one.

Anyone would be nervous if a girl they like saying that.

 

It could be used as a line to pick up a person you have a feeling for(lol).

好すきな女おんなの子こにこんなことを言いわれたら誰だれだってドキッとしますよね。
